The Occupational Therapy Department at Omni has been committed to client-centered services for over 20 years. We provide OT services in various settings including schools, in the home and at our on-site sensory clinic and gym. Our skilled Occupational Therapists work with varying diagnoses including Autistism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, ADD/ADHD, sensory processing disorders, Learning Disabilities and more. Our goal is to improve and develop life skills necessary for functional performance for for every client.
Multi-Sensory Room
Our multi-sensory room is a space that can encourage the development of age-appropriate skills and behaviors for children with sensory processing difficulties, Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other processing difficulties, while incorporating various visual, auditory, proprioceptive, vestibular and tactile inputs to facilitate areas such as attention and focus. Our bubble tube, fiber optic lights, infinity mirrors, light spreaders, classical and sing-a-long music, textured rugs and tactile mediums are just a few of the items our multi-sensory room is equipped with that can provide the stimulation and sensory input to address your child’s sensory needs. Whether to calm, increase focus and attention, or to provide another sensory avenue to explore, our multi-sensory room can help provide functional benefits to promote your child’s progress throughout their occupational therapy journey.
Use of the multi-sensory room subject to therapist assessment of need as treatment plans are client-centered and individualized for each child.
